Teak confrims my statements for me

by dumbo, May 25, 2007 12:00AM
Just a quick thanks to Teak for confirming everything I have been saying about the statistics in regards to HIV infections.

He did it here:

http://www.medhelp.org/forums/HIVSupport/messages/3085.html

with this PDF from the CDC that Teak loves to use for the basis of his comments.

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/women/resources/factsheets/pdf/women.pdf

Where it is quoted:

Page 3 (RISK FACTORS)
exact quotes:

"Some women may be unaware of their male partner’s risk factors for HIV infection (such as unprotected sex with multiple partners, sex with men, or injection drug use) [8]. Men who engage in sex both with men and women can acquire HIV from a male partner and then transmit the virus to female partners.

HIGH RISK HETERO FACTORS:

"Most women are infected with HIV through high-risk heterosexual contact [3]. African American and Hispanic women account for over 80% of the reported heterosexually acquired cases of HIV/AIDS [3]."

So Teak, you are right, everyone should go with the CDC.  Funny how this PDF documnet from the CDC confirms everything Dr. HHH says and has said time and time again that Teak has tried to deflect time and time again.

So, in closing, thanks Teak for proving me right in what I have been stating for the statistics.  It was very good of you to do the leg work for me and I appreciate it.

Keep up the good work.

A woman is significantly more likely than a man to contract HIV infection during vaginal intercourse [14, 15].

Due to your lack of comprehension in what you read, it's no wonder you only post odds, because that is easiest for you to copy and past. I noticed you didn't post anything that dealt with the increase of hiv infected hetrosexual women in the US. hmmm imagine that.

by peekawho, May 25, 2007 12:00AM
Make no mistake about it though.  Most heterosexually infected women are infected after repeated unprotected exposure to an HIV + man (assuming they weren't infected via iv drug use).   Can it happen?  Sure.  Does it happen often?  No.

Please don't fight, you two.  Both of you have valuable info to offer, and I respect you both.

The odds are an important part of living.  We use them unconsciously every day, in every decision we make.  They are not the be all and end all, but do play a role in determining our everyday actions.

by peekawho, May 25, 2007 12:00AM
We all agree on the basics, right?  Condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, know your partners status, and no needlesharing.

Lets try focusing on that, instead of bickering over who gets what, in what way.

I do agree to a point that we use odds daily, but when it comes to unprotected sex and whether to test or not we don't use odds. If one has unprotected anal or vaginal sex, not in a monogamist relationship, the only way to for one to know their status is by testing. You don’t play the odds game when it comes to yours or someone else’s health.

by peekawho, May 25, 2007 12:00AM
I believe in yearly testing for those not in mutually monogamous relationships,
Odds or no odds.

Absolutely nowhere did I say anything about odds.  These are "statistics", there is a difference.

I know how to read. I read exactly what is there in black and white so to speak.  All from an article that YOU posted fromthe gov't agency YOU always refer to.

Your deflection tactics will not wrk this time.  Again I repeat, I did not say ANYTHING in this post about odds.....as your "deflection" response tries hard to show.

I agree with Peekawho, never disagreed....condoms etc....of course.  I have never said otherwise.  I only point these things out because you continually call me a liar and spew that I do not know what I speak of.  I continually stated these "STATISTICS" many many times you always refused to admit that I was correct.

Well there it is.  Thanks to you.

Thanks again for your help.

Are you really this stupid?????????

the PDF is about the USA!!!!  ACTUAL STATS FROM 33 US STATES>........LMAO.......

OMG.......I can't stop laughing as you dig yourself in deeper.......lol....please keep going.

by Teak, May 25, 2007 12:00AM
dumbo, give it up. You have no idea even what statistical numbers are used for and it's for sure not used in risk assessment.

Thanks for the PDF from the CDC.  Thanks for showing everyone the stats I have been stating are true.  You're the best.

I am not a homophobe....my brother is gay as i have said before.  He knows the risks of his lifestyle, even though, admittedly he is not a meth head or bath house veteran by any means.  I am however, a liar/hypocritphobe which fits you to a T.

You claim to want to prevent just one possible infection, but yet claim that gay men should be allowed to donate blood for use among the public.  Why risk it?  It is a virtual certainty at least one person will become infected through blood transfusion if this were to happen.  So, explain?

I show my brother your posts btw, and he says you are definitely a hypocrit and typical gay male deflector.

You don't need to lie dumbo. You don't post anything factual anyway for anyone to be concerned about. Maybe you haven't noticed that no one asks you any questions? Your brother is gay? I bet he's real proud of you. cough,cough..

My bro has been "out" since the 80's.  I was in many scuffles with schoolmates because of it.  We get along great.  I do not understand his lifestyle but I do not condemn it either, live and let live but don't try to impose any of it on me.

While he has only reviewed limited quantity of posts from you, he has commented on how you give the gay community a bad name because of your fear and deflection tactics.

No homophobia here, I just don't like people that have your agenda that's all....lol

by Teak, May 26, 2007 12:00AM
To: dumbo
So you are saying that your brother is no more knowledgeable than you? That doesn't suprise me at all. Remember who the high risk group is in the US. Now what was the reason for you coming to these forums? Your brother couldn't answer your questions for you?

It makes a difference if you know what the numbers mean and you don't. You're like a little kid, "cut and past." Have a good day.

Go ahead Teak, try to make me look bad all you want, it only does the opposite.  It's all right there in the document created by the CDC.  So there's no need to cut and paste anything......

deflect deflect deflect for the worriers.......scare them some more teak.  But, if they would take the time to read the link "you" provided to the "CDC" document, then they could see the truth for themselves.

It's all right there for the reading..............no debate required this time......LOL

Go on kid, finish school and get an education.

by dumbo, May 26, 2007 12:00AM
Oh boy, you must really be upset that you have been exposed like this.  That was a fast response.  Are you sitting there waiting every minute of the day to deflect now?? lol

You don't make me mad. Like I said, your ignorance doesn't bother me at all. Your homophobic agenda doesn't bother me. Society cannot help that we have people like you in 2007.
