One last question-since you've been on these boards for a very long time-how many people have said they've come back with a positive test after claiming oral was their only exposure.
My doctor was the one who actually made me nervous. I went to get check for other STD's and he said "you know that unprotected oral in not no risk!" and ordered an HIV test plus full STD panel at 2 weeks which was stupid. I then went back at 5 and 1/2 weeks and had another HIV and syphilis test since there was a small risk since this was in Asia. The doctor said we should do another HIV at 12 weeks which I just took.
What you've convinced yourself is something you'll have to work on. The fact is you didn't have a risk.
thanks for your comments Teak but I cant let this go until I get this result back and then I'll be fine. But for some reason, I've convinced myself I have contracted HIV and then transmitted it to my wife.
No, I have no idea what the test is you took. Which doesn't matter because you never had a risk and didn't need testing.
that is the only exposure I have had outside a 30 year monagmous relationship with my wife and I'm freaking out!
Also-do you have any idea what kind of test that I note above is-does that have the p24 antigen component or not?
If that is the only exposure you've had then the answer is yes.
So are you saying that the 5 week test is 100% reliable and there is ZERO % chance that it will turn positive!
You never had a risk for HIV. Oral and rimming is not a risk.
