Weed does not strengten the immune system.

blue, you are placing all your thoughts on symptoms. Not all people will have symptoms. It's very possible for someone to have HIV  for seven years and not be sick. If I wouldn't have been tested I wouldn't have known I was positive and I would never had known it for 21 years.

No I've never infected anyone else. Primary HIV infection does not affect your vision. Age affects your vision.

are you kidding me? Weed can strenghten your immune system?

do you think the fact this jerk drinks himself into a near stupor every night will weaken his immune system? He has been having dry coughs lately.

The chances now for someone that is on HAART to get a diagnosis of AIDS is very, very low. The only way for that to happen is a complete resistance to all medication available.

Do you think someone who has HIV for the past 7 years but doesnt know they have it and they drink alcohol EVERY night and smoke weed several times a day would show any symptom of having HIV? It seems the substance abuse would have weakend their body and if they had HIV to make them get sick.

I don't know of anyone contacting an OI other than those with Advance HIV disease, chemo patients and those using anti rejection medication.

opportunistic infection.

IN your years of experience dealing with HIV and other HIV positive people, do you think someone who absues drugs and marijuana and suffers from depression would have gotten an OI within 7 years?

One can't say if they would get sick in 7 yrs or not. One can not say to a new infected person when they will need to start taking meds. It is all done by repeated testing. I never got sick because of HIV. I got sick because of an OI.

No, one knows for sure how long one can go without treatment. It would vary from one person to the next and not all people are alike.
