Thank you, but still not sure

Thank you, but still not sure

I'm quite paranoid about this kind of stuff...I have gone to the Dr. before for bumps in my throat, sure that it was herpes. He laughed and said allergies. It is with that that I come to you.

Cut to two weeks ago, I had unprotected oral sex to ejaculation with someone that said they were clean. Since then I have developed a blister-like thing on my tongue, and the tongue itself has been covered in a white coating. It felt swollen, which led me to believe that I had bitten it in my sleep while grinding my teeth. I also figured that I may have agitated my tongue while giving oral sex by having it pushed onto a jagged tooth (which I have...).

There were no open sores in my mouth, and my gums are of average/good health. Thankfully there was a similar post, and you said that the chance of it being HIV related was slim to none (thank GOD). If it was herpes there would be more than one little bump (that isn't noticeable, other than looking really close).

Here are other dynamics:

- About to graduate and move across the country from my co-dependent family
- I smoke
- Being treated by a therapist for anxiety/depression
- Take Buproprion XR
- Resumed taking Buspirone this past week
- I have allergies to the point that I took benadryl and nyquil last night and still woke up with mucous in my throat
- I am NOT running a fever per say, but feel abnormally warm to the touch on face and neck - almost like a sunburn
- It is Spring, and I live in Wisconsin, so the plants are coming out of dormancy

So in short, I have pretty much eliminated herpes. Your response to another post helped to rule out HIV. The other thoughts are Thrush, which you pretty much eliminated with the same post as the HIV one. Beyond this I am lost, but grateful that the others have been pretty much ruled out.

Things I've been doing:
- Brushing my tongue when I brush my teeth
- Mouthwash
- Swishing shots of alcohol
- Drinking more water
- Eliminated cayenne pepper pills (otc)
- Eliminated water pills (otc)
- Sleeping with bleaching trays in (to shield my tongue from my teeth)
- Taking a multi vitamin (Centrum...not the greatest thing in the world, but better than Flintstones)
- Washing my hands frequently (if it's herpes or yeast, it isn't getting to my genitals!)

I hope that you're able to help put my mind at ease, and thank you for the service you're providing!

Well it is certainly not HIV, as oral sex is not a low risk, but a no risk situation, if you want more infor on other STD's maybe post on the STD forum.
