Think about it?Are you that sure?

Hey everyone.

I know the queastion I will write my seem not needed, but what I ask for just think...I know that the possibilities are very slim, but can you always be so possitive?

To be brief.
I was with a prostitute 7 weeks ago. What happened is:

- I kissed her a bit on the lips. She had her lips closed i had my open.
- She gave me unprotected oral. That lasted a couple of minutes.
- I bit her lighty on the but.
- I kissed her breasts.
- No vissible blood at any point.

Durring the whole “give me pleasure” situation, my little (maybe not that little):) friend could not stand up. So what happened I just gave up and whent back home...it is actually quite sad... ( On the side I do have mouth problems because I had my wise tooths taken out 2 months ago. My teeth are getting misplaced now and I tend to bit my cheeks a lot and leave marks on them. Also have problems with lips because of the cold)

After that I had the following tests:

- chlamydia and gonoryha after 6 days.
- Hiv rapid test after 4 weeks. (HIV 1/2)
- Hiv rapid test after 6 weeks.  (HIV 1/2)

Besides that encounter my last encounter was in a steady relationship 4 months ago. Durring that time no sex (that is why the prostitute came up in my mind). So that rules everything out to the situation with the prostitute.

So.....being that I should be calm and sure that I did not get hiv from that encounter. I know the statistics and the possibilites. They are remote and neglible and at this point I would have a bigger chance of getting hit by a car when I walk out to a club tonight. I would let It go and I even did not think about it, till the moment I had the following symptoms after 6 weeks:

- sore throut
- stuffy nose
- small couth
- phlegm
- body aches
- a ulcer at the back of my mouth by the throut (It is a little raised and red)
- in all fatigue
- no fever

I know symtoms do not meen anything. Probably it is a sinus infection, especially when it is the season in Geneva where I am at. By the way they say in Switzerland recieving oral sex is no risk. The same was told to me by the nurses at the emergency and test center.

So...why do I still ask? Why am I still on this subject when I should have let it go. Whel it is those god damm symptoms and that god damm neglible risk mentioned on many pages. The “what if” I am that god damm “lucky one” that won the “lottery”. By the way I really am a stable peson, one that usually never worries.

So my question is: Do I still need testing after 3 months from the encounter? Maybe I should test for syphilis as well?

I know what you will answer....but are you 100 proc. sure I am safe from hiv from that encounter? Would you be confident if I would start sleeping with my former girlfriend again without protection? Are you sure that I will not put anyone at risk?

Please take a minute to think about it. For that I will be very grateful.

I am really sorry to hear what happend. I hope everything will be alright with the test and I wish you best of luck.
You are right about most people on the forum, that the worries are not needed. I might be one of those people. Althou my comments in this post are taken the wrong way, because people think that I am trying to convince myself I have hiv. Which is ****. I aknowledge the facts. What I sometimes do not understand is the confidents in the way people sometimes give answers. Answers that are not 100 proc. true.

I am here because I was raped and no condom was used.  I am waiting for my three month test.  I was looking for a forum in which actual support was the theme, but this place is nothing more than a forum filled with people who are out of touch with reality.

After the rape, I was filled with guilt, thinking that I must have done something wrong to cause it.  I knew nothing about getting early treatment and to be honest, I was too embarrassed to even go to the emergency room.  Now I am waiting another month for my three month mark.  I have not spent my time testing over and over again.  I am just waiting for my three month conclusive result.

Are you sure?   What I am sure of is that most of the people on this forum need psychiatric help, not a public forum.

has said negligible, which means insignificant/unimportant, he has also used the word theoretical. he has also stated there are no documented cases, he has also said don't test (waste of money), and he has also said seek mental help if you can't let this minimal/non-risk incident go. time for you to listen to the last comment.

Both of the doctors say it is "low risk", "very low risk" "neglible risk"...never no risk for receiving oral sex (getting a blow job to be more blunt).

Low risk for "giving" not receiving.

You are strong in your beliefs Teak:)
The best argument for winning such a case is that there is NO 100proc. PROOF that it can not happen.

i don't know why i am even entertaining this conversation. no one said it was impossible, we said it just isn't going to happen. it is possible that a meteor slams into earth tomorrow and destroys mankind. you know what though? its not going to happen.

Take it to court, your arguments here shows that you wouldn't have a chance.

I can bet a lot that in court I would prove that oral sex tramsission is not impossible.

first off it was an example, secondly those are not the reall odds for hitting 0. it is really 35 -1. i was trying to state that at 10,000 to 1 odds, you, and yes i mean you, will never see it happen. you probably do make a good lawyer, because you are completely not logical. lawyers and media aka (the downfall of american morals)

Keep testing. I hope you are better able to argue law than you are about science. We're done.

Bad example. Those are similiar ods of contacting hiv from vaginal intercourse. And that does happen. Right?
Besides people do win in the cassino.
Ofcourse I can bet a lot that I dont have it. I am probably sure of it. What does not mean it is impossible.

No, that is not what the abstract said at all. Read this one. http://www.aegis.com/news/pr/1998/pr980105.html

Can you explain why do you state that I want hiv so bad? Because I want to know about it?

you can factor anything you want and you will wind up with theoretical situation. CDC says bj is a "theoretical risk". if you went to a casino and they said that your chances to hit the 0 on the roulette wheel was 10,000 to one, would you bet all your money on that 0 and honestly think you will win. of course not! it says 10,000 to 1 so there is a Theoretical chance you could win on the first spin, "it aint happening", more than likely at those odds you would have to sit there all your life and probably still never see it happen.

Then I suggest that you keep testing until you run out of money to test. If you want HIV so bad, find another means. End of Discussion.

Then I dont understand the articles I read:) There is no scepticism or anything in that statement. I do not have a medical background, so I might not understand it. But in that article doesnt it state, that durring seroconversion saliva can have enouth of the virus to infect?

Documented does not mean it never accured. Documented means something is prooven for 100 proc. Try to proove something for 100 proc:)
