I'll clear this up for you quickly. The very very very SMALL % of people that are recommended to test past the 3 month mark are NOT due to an "autoimmune" disease like you have (or any other for that matter).
It refers to people whose immune systems are SEVERELY compromised ("immunosuppressed", which is totally different from an autoimmune disease). This would be, for example...a person who has had an organ transplant who is taking anti-rejection meds, someone who has advanced/aggressive cancer, such as leukemia, who basically has no immune system, and someone who is on chemotherapy, again, which lowers the immune system dramatically.
, such as Celiac Sprue, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc etc etc do NOT fall into this category whatsoever. Two totally different animals. A person with an autoimmune disorder
