I have a question but im not to sure if it can be answered. They say that HIV cannot survive in the environment or outside the body. Lets say that somebody bleed all over a doorknob and they had HV and about 5 minutes later you came and you used the same doorknob and you had a pretty fresh cut there and you got that blood on your cut, they say that its no risk at all, but how? Im a little confused. Now i know that once blood is dry then the HIV is totaly dead and the cdc website says that once hiv is outside of the body in the environment it looses it ablity to infect someone. How long does it have to be out in the environment before it cannot infect anymore.
