Thank you for your reply and the article about the S/Co ratio..but can you please explain to me more on this..I have to admit that after reading your last reply, I was relieved a bit, but I am still a bit worried...it is clearClear by design Clear eyes Clear eyes acr Clear eyes clr Clear-atadine Clear-atadine children's that there is a corrolation between the number of antibodies in the sample and the OD ratio...and since the OD ratio is higher than what I got before, then there is a change in my blood...and some antibodies may be present but not enough to reach the cutCuts and puncture wounds-off value...
See, my point was not to push you towards more anxiety. My previous post was only to alleviate your irrational fearsFears and phobias. Anyway, as I mentioned before, it is not abnormal to see changes in the S/Co ratio when the value is less than 1. In your situation, it is just a coincidence that the value increased a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bit. It could have decreased as well, but again, the test measures a certain value whether or not you have anti-bodies. as long as that value is close to the baseline value (thats why any value <1 is negative), you CAN BE CERTAIN that you do not have HIV.
When the body produces anti-HIV following an infection, the anti-body concentration does not change so slowly, it increases rapidly. Say, from 0.2 to 1.0 and up. The tests are so sensitive that at the minimum level of anti-body concentration, the value produced is 1.
Anything less than that means NEGATIVE. close to 1 most probably means false positive.
