Tongue issues

Well, my tongue has been getting whitish lately. Not extremely, it's milder. It brushes off with a toothbrush, but eventually comes back every once in a while.

Also there is a pin-head sized hole on the side of my tongue, unrelated to the whiteness. It hurts when I move my tongue or talk, but not when I eat or drink really. It's been there for a few days at most.

What could these two things be ? I was not sure where to post this, so I posted it here because people in here talk about tongue issues. I did not see a mouth category. I'm not too worried about HIV, but it could be a possibility.
