Toothbrush transmission

Toothbrush transmission

8 years ago, I accidently used the toothbrush of a person infected with HIV. The toothbrush was dry at the time I used it, but i remember little else about the incident. I do remember falling ill with a fever and sore throat about 3 weeks after, but i was 12 and used to get bouts of tonsillitis even before this incident. I haven't had specific symptoms as of yet, but I am worried about my risk. I do suffer from bouts of fatigue these days, and at times my eyes burn. I also have mild psoriasis, however i do not fall sick more often than the rest of my colleagues ( as of yet). Could i be advised on my risk? And what I should do? I'm really really scared to take the test.

Dry (or even wet) tooth brush has nothing to do with HIV transmission. One needs to have plenty of infectious fluids to be exchanged inside the body, for an effective transmission to take place. Only unprotected anal and vaginal sex, sharing needles and works and transfusion of infected blood (risk almost eliminated in developed world) qualifiy, rest are all no risk situations.
