Transmission

I had posted about my boyfriend having chapped lips and sharing a pipe with someone that may have HIV. I know there has to be blood or the other fluids to enter your body.
1) But how much blood are we talking? Enough to notice, or just a tiny bit?

2) And are chapped lips a way for the virus to get in?

I really just want to be more educated on the subject. I hope these questions are not too annoying, I'm sure you heat them a lot. Please and thank you :)

That wasn't my question, primarily. It was how much blood needs to be transfered in order to be infected, and are chapped lips a transmission for the virus. This a site to ask and be answered.  If anyone has a little more in detail answer to my specific questions,  I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for everything.
