test (where the doctor said i had no antibodies show up in my blood) at 8 weeks that was negative, but still i am worried. My question is would there have been lots of blood on my penis
as there was none and the girl did not show any signs of blood in her mouth afterwards.I then gave her oral sex as well. For the last 8 weeks i have had a headache and a sore throat plus a coating on my tongue and the occasional bout of diarrohea i have been to the doctors who said i had a throat infection and that my headaches were tension headaches, which i know they most probably are as i am so scared. Do you think its worth me taking another test at 13 weeks, or am i at no risk? My partner has just had a viral infection
with occasional diarohea and now has oral thrush ( we have not had sex since my time with the prostitute tho) Please can you help put my mind at rest, thank you
Thanks for answering me Teak, i have been looking on this site for ages and i respect your opinion.
I think that the fact that i cheated is a lot to do with this as that is most probably causing me all of the tension headaches, and i am continually checking my glands and sticking my tongue out to see if its still has a coating, which it does.
So you would say that its not worth me having a HIV test at 13 weeks then?
Sorry, i know there is hardly any risk with oral, but it was the cut on the urethra that frightened me, would there have to be loads of blood shown for there to be a risk ?
No i know that is the case, its the small cut that i was worried about as i noticed it the next day after my incident with her.
Would i have to have been covered in blood for there to be a risk, as whn i had finished and i cleaned myself up there was no blood at all on my penis, and surely it would have to have been covered in it, am i right ?
Curious to know the statistics about this... There have been documented cases where a positive partner has given the other HIV through oral sex.
So i'd like to know why oral sex is seen as a NO risk activity?
Officially all the sexual health clinics i've spoken to, say there is a risk, albeit a very very low one.
What are the actual risks? Can i recieve unlimited amounts of unprotected oral sex from as many people as i like, and never put myself at risk of getting HIV?
There are no documented cases of someone contracting HIV from receiving oral sex.
The risk of receiving is often cited as a theoretical risk of 1 in 20000 acts of oral sex, but neither of the Drs on this forum have ever seen or heard of a convincing case where someone contracted HIV from oral sex, either giving or receiving.
In a study of serodiscordant couples where more than 19,000 acts of unprotected oral sex were performed over ten years, there were _zero_ seroconversions.
There are a few documented cases of people who claim they caught HIV from giving oral sex, but they are not verified (which is probably very difficult to do anyway).
you say no risk because of cuts of blood by surely blood is a risk if it went in my urethra ? But like I said I saw no blood afterwards and surely there would have been some ?I probably am just anxious. Like I said tho I have never had unprotected sex in the last 5 years and my test 2 weeks ago would have shown up if I had anything. Just totally paranoid that I or my partner has HIV .

I had a negative rapid antibody test result at 8 weeks, not 3 months ? As i am in the UK, it sounds different procedures to the US.
The question im asking is concerning would there have been loads of blood shown on my penis after the oral sex ? as i saw none, but saw the cut the next day and am scared ? Surely you can understand that ?
You say that there is no risk from saliva and i agree, but its the cut that has scared me as it bled the next day ?
