No I agree w Fever Pitch that is my question also! and it doesn't make much sense to me. some websites state that YES there is a possibility to pass HIV to another partner through vaginal and pr-ejaculated semen secretions contacting one another. I am shaking everyday waiting for the doctors to give me some blood work. I had contact with a male he was rubbing his penis inside my labia and the head of his penis barley went into my vagina for a split second. Now that is NOT considered to be outside of my body for the HIV to die? So whats that about? IF he had HIV and i didn't know...he slipped the head of his penis into me a few times but we did not have intercourse... how is that NOT A RISK?? Also i do have herpes simplex 2 but no outbreaks or symptoms ever... is that more of a risk than normal?
Are you having a difficult time understand what you read? You did not have a risk from rubbing. If you had unprotective penetrative sex then you have put yourself at risk. That's it.
so there'd be no risk even though the head of my penis might have brushed the inner labia or slight insertion into the vagina? would those areas still be considered "outside" of the vagina?
No outside the body.... HIV does not stay active outside it's host.
Thank you Teak for your speedy response
Just a quick clarification - I believe vaginal fluids are one of the things that are earmarked as HIV transmittive - why would it be No risk if my penis made contact with the fluids just out of curiosity?
