Unprotected vaginal sex

I had unprotected vaginal sex, and have an hiv rapid screen done by blood drawn from my vein at my doctors office and sent to quest at 42 weeks after exposure. I have all hiv symptoms still. The test was negative. What do I do? I'm terrified I will infect my girlfriend. :(

I'm askin about hiv. I guess I should get an RNA test? Considering I've had severe symptoms for months now and my last hiv test at 43 weeks was negative which can only mean I'm not producing antibodies. All symptoms I have are hiv symptoms. :(

This forum is HIV specific. We don't discuss HCV.

I posted on the hep c forum and they pretty much said there is no way I have hep c. I know this is an hiv only forum but is there anything else I can do? All and I do mean all my symptoms are pointing to hiv or hep c. More hiv than anything yet my test is apparently 100%. You think maybe I need an RNA test or something that looks for the virus itself? Last question I don't wanna be a pain just wanna be better for I've had these symptoms for months now, and read if you have continuing symptoms it could be because you arnt producing antibodies to the virus and need to look for the virus itself. :( that true?

I read it sir. Thank you again. I should be completely free of all the diseases I tested for then. I will just ignore my nasty symptoms and try with my beautiful fiancé for my first child. I'm really excited and just wanted to be completely confident I'm ok. Thanks again bud. Best wishes to you :)

Thank you very much Vance now I should believe I am 100% hiv negative with all hiv symptoms? I want to try for a baby with my girlfriend/fiancé. You believe I am ok to do this correct? I've had no other exposures since June of last year. Thank you again it brought light to my day.

42 weeks is 294 days. So even if it was 180 days it is still conclusive.

But conculsive test is 90 days post exposure. CDC and FDA approved.

I thought so too sir, but now I'm reading on another website where they where saying 90 days is conclusive. Now they are saying 90 days is 97% and 180 days is conclusive. I scared over all this confusion and if my test is still conclusive with symptoms still happening? The other website is thebody the two doctors on there are now saying 180. Just curious as to why you think? Antibody tests not very good? That's all I've been tested with all 5 times. Sorry for the long question.

You don't have an HIV concern you have tested negative way outside the window period.
