Unsafe oral with positive guy

A lesson for all, I have been dating this guy for six months I fell in love I asked if he was in good health and if there where any precautions we had to take before having sex he said no. To make a long story short we had unprotected oral sex and I definatly had his precum in my mouth with no ejaculation . The following week he confesses he is hiv+ and that he just couldnt tell me and has never told a soul, of course I freaked out and have been crazy ever since. He went as far as having his doctor call me to tell me he is at undetectable levels to get tested in three months and there is a 1 in 10,000 chance of my being infected well ever since I have debating on ways to committe suicide (half joking) so now I am a basket case can anyone give me some reassurance before I go off the deep end oh by the way my first encounter with another male sexually and probably last!

Even with protection it is still scary to think about the chance of hiv, I am very sad and disheartened about what this virus is doing to us.

Four more days until I go for my test results getting nervous especially because the testing was confidential and not annonymous which I understand they give your name to local health officials to keep track and it can affect your insurance and other life issues not to mention put in the medical insurance bureau data base for agencies to investigate who has what so they can cancel insurance.

I would like to know more about your situation how do you mentally handle it? How do you feel comfortable in your relationship? How long have you been together? Do you go to doctor visits together to get advice?

Went to get tested it has been thirty days since my possible exposure I have to wait two weeks before I get my results I have been a bundle of stress and nerves even though I read yours and others advice it still has been a head trip and I am still worried. I am fine for a while and then think about the what ifs and then I get a stress attack and stomach ache.

I'm not here to call people out, I was clear that there is basically a non-existent risk of contracting HIV through unprotected oral sex. I also suggested that she search the expert forum for Dr. HHH and Dr. EWH's opinions which would tell her testing was not needed.

Excuse my rambling

Please ignore the rambling's of mrcksml, in the near 30 years of the HIV pandemic there has not been a single verified case of HIV infection from oral sex, insertive or receptive. And you are not going to be the first.

The real reason for Dr's, here on this site and others to say there is a theoretical risk is that because nothing is certain, two words most Dr's or scientists will never say are; "always" and "never". Thats not not to scare you any further, it's a fact. And Teak, who by some way it is safe to say, is one of the resident forum experts has told you (and others) that oral sex isn't a risk for HIV transmission. I can only concur with the advice that Teak has given you; that you were never at risk of HIV infection from oral sex. end of story.

At no time were you at risk of contracting HIV.

Dr. HHH and Dr. Hook state that there is an incredibly LOW ALMOST NON-EXISTENT risk of contracting HIV from oral sex. You're figure of 1 in 10,000 is probably close to accurate.

I would reccomend searching the forum for similar questions to yours.
