Urine

I was cleaning my toilet after I had a friend over and I was wearing  latex gloves and a sweatshirt. It had been like 4 hours since she had used the bathroom. I was wondering if I accidentally got some of the urine on my sweatshirt and it touched a small cut on my cuticle if I can catch HIV. Is it in urine? Would the virus be dead after 3 or 4 hours? Please answer

Holy cow, jitters has lots of threads about HIV from spots of blood on cereal boxes, spots of blood on toilet seats, urine splashing up from the toilet bowl, etc. Stuff like that, anyway. It's almost kind of annoying for people like me who had a real risk with real symptoms and am waiting fearfully for my test results.

Your risk is zero. If it were possible to have a risk less than zero, it would be you. HIV absolutely cannot be transmitted through urine, it can't get in through a cut (unless it's a very fresh cut), and it can't survive in a toilet or in any other exposed place for more than a few seconds, much less than three or four hours. You cannot get HIV this way.
