Very Scared.....Condom Broke

Hello, and thanks for the forum.  it has been very helpful.  i am extremely afraid and dont know where to turn.  about a month ago, i was having a bachelor party for my marriage and everything was fine.  well the fellas paid the stripper to perform sex on me.  it was oral unprotected, and vaginal protected, until the condom broke.  i was in her maybe 1-2 seconds after it broke.  i was finished with her at that point, and there was no ejaculation.  well, almost two weeks after my wife got what she thought to be a really bad yeast infection, and it likely was passed on to me.  i have experienced tingling in my penis with no bumps or lesions.  two days afterwards i got a enlarged lymph node in my right groin.  went to the dr. and he stated that there would have to be more of them if i were hiv+.  he also stated my blood pressure was high.  earlier in the day i had a small fever, but got over it quickly.  my wife has not had any symptoms except a slight fever one morning that seemed to go away quickly, and a slight fever a week later with a little dizziness.  i had a test done at about 3 weeks, and dont get the results until after chrismas, and i am currently having slight muscle pain in my upper right back, and tingling in my foot every so often, also i have a slight cough.
my question is.......could my fever have been caused by my high blood pressure and concern for the matter?
what r my chances that i infected myself seeing as though i did ask the stripper if she was clean, and she replied "hell yeah im clean"?

please help, i have never experienced anything like this before, and have made a very bad mistake.  i have prayed and prayed and promised the lord that this would not ever happen again.  i am extremely scared........please help

Well, its week 15, and i went to get tested today and got a negative result.  i am very relieved, and would like to thank all for your input.  this site has really helped me with dealing with this problem, and i am greatly appreciative. i was very nervous and asked the nurse about different cases, and she also stated that she had never had a straight male come in and test positive, so this was very relieving to me before taking the test.  i would like to encourage all to keep your heads up, dont let this get you down, and test out. for those suffering i offer my blessings and prayer, and to stay strong.

thanks all,
brian

No, high blood pressure will not cause late seroconversion. As you've been told that I doubt that you contracted HIV with that short exposure you had be you do need your conclusive test result.

I think your wife's sickness is too late to be HIV also. Good luck.

Take a 10 week test then a negative would mean the chances the stripper gave you HIV even if she had it would be microscopic. The odds are small enough after 6 weeks. You should be fine, but test at 90 days (12 weeks 6 days) to make sure. Get a full std check-up too to rule out chlamydia etc. You can go for chlamydia and gonnorrea checkups now.

well, its been about 10 weeks now, and i have been tested 3 times.  once at week 3, 5, and 6.  the first was ELISA, and the second and third were unigold......all negative, but i am still very worried.  at about my 6th week my wife came down with what she thought to be the flu.  i calculated this to be at the most if i did have something her 4th week.  she felt very badly, but kept saying she didnt have a fever (but there was no measure and her body was pretty warm).  she said her throat burned, and she kept coughing up mucus for the next week.  she finally went to the doc. and he diagnosed her with acute bronchitis with no cultures, just from sight.  she did go to work that week, but just stated that she kept feeling bad throughout the day.  it seemed to me as though when she went to bed she had fever, but not throughout the day.  this was after my 41 day test came back negative.  i still really got no symptoms, except mild fever, and persistent cough, and that one swollen lymph, but nothing real serious.  i felt pretty confident after my 41 day, but now at day 66, have gotten a canker sore in the bottom of my inner lip.  i am still worried for some reason.  my wife was also saying today that when she was feeling bad, it just came on all of a sudden and she didnt see it coming.  she said she was feeling fine one minute, and the next it just came on.  the doctor also diagnosed me with hypertension.

my question is should i really be worried seeing as though i had a  3, 5, and 6 week negative?

could my high blood pressure have caused me to sero late?
and
seeing as though my wife experienced this sickness at what would have possibly been her week 4..going into 5, would that be too late?

thanks for your help

well, it was the night before the wedding, and we were sloppy drunk, but that is no excuse, and you are correct.  i feel so slimy.  i really cant find a word that is nasty enough to describe my behavior.  i just hope and pray everything goes okay.  let me ask you this.  would that yeast infection she had (seeing as though she was on the pill for a while) be any indication of any symptoms exactly 2 weeks afterwards

Having sex on wedding, not with lovely bride but with a stripper ,,,,??? Does it happen this way in your part of the world?

And I guess that after this event that exposed you to some risk, you were not responsible enough to refrain from unprotected sex with your wife, which you should have, until the conclusive clearance.

Anyway, just one event of unprotected sex even with a "positive" partner does not put you at a risk more than 1:2000, so you have fairly good chances of escape, therefore what I can suggest you, to calm down, relax and wait for you window period of 12/13 weeks to complete and then get yourself tested, since you had an unprotected exposure with someone unknown to you. Very likely you will get your negative report and peace of mind together. Meanwhile avoid unprotected sex with your committed partner.

Do not think too much about your symptoms,,, they do not mean much,
