Viral Load Questions

by david623, Apr 14, 2009 11:34AM
I read back that a viral load can be so low, that it is undectable.  What will make this viral load so low to cause this? Is it the HIV meds? Is there anything else that would cause this? Thanks.

Teak, can you answer this or anyone?

I would think that the Antiviral Cocktail supresses the virus to that level.

That is the purpose of HAART medication so that gets your viral load undetectable.

Does Saliva contains HIV virus? According to CDC it does. Is it effcient enough for transmission

by joggen, Apr 15, 2009 12:44AM
No, saliva is not infectious.
