WINDOW PERIOD

Hi about a year ago i had unprotected sex and 12 months after the incidient i went and got a Hiv test from labcorp...what really stunned me was that it did not say ELISA on it, it said HIV 1/0/2 ICMA test...I called the company and they said I have to ask my doctor. My doctor right now is away on vacation. Is this test valid I mean if a lab gives out a HIV test doesnt it have to be FDA approved, and wat is the accuracy..

Thank you

ICMA/CMIA/ELFA/EIA are all methods of antibody detection.
ICMA = Immunochemiluminometric assay.
ICMA = CMIA, it's a IV generation HIV antibody test and equivalent to ELISA.

You're conclusively negative and it's time for you to move on.
