Want to know whether i am infected

by sampatrick, May 27, 2008 04:54AM
I would narrate the whole story
I had vaginal sex with a prostitute by using condom. After sex i found the condom covered only half of my penis i washed my penis with my hand CONTAINING VAGINAL FLUIDS as i was really intoxicated, as some vaginal fluid on the bottom of my penis and of course the fluid on my hand had touched my peni's tip portion. After few minutes i have got erection and she done a handjob(her hand also contains the vaginal fluid as she cleaned her vagina with tissue paper(but not washed with water). I donnt know about the status of the girl. i am really afraid of whether i would have affected with HIV(if she is HIV).
Whether by touching and washing the penis with the hand containing vaginal fluid may cause HIV infection? Next day after sex i had some pain inside my penis and some pain on the testicles as well as joint pains, whether it is the symptoms of HIV infection??i am really scared.

Went for my test exactly after 6 weeks and 5 days of the encounter. It took only 15-20 minutes to get the result. The result is;

1.HIV- Antibodies (Elisa)- Negative.

2.HbsAg- Negative.

3.RPR- Non Reactive.

Doctor said I am ok for the time being but he added only after 90 DAYS TEST (3 MONTHS) IT CAN BE CONFIRMED WHETHER I AM ABSOLUTELY NEGATIVE or NOT. I am really confused of his opinion.

1. Whether any chance to change this result after 90 days??
2. Should I go for a 90 days test??
3. Whether the 15-20 minutes rapid (Elisa) test can be relied on?
4. Should I go for a confirmation test in other clinic?
5. Whether the test I have done is conclusive?
6. Whether this Elisa test is the same in all places in the world (i have done it in DUBAI(my residence))

Please give me a reply.
Thanks in advance

You were never at risk of contracting HIV and didn't need any testing.

If the head of your penis remain covered, the you had no risk at all, so no test needed, your 6 week test confirms that.

Keep it safe

Thank you very much for your replies.
Could you please tell me
1.what is a "Rapid Card Test"(In dubai private clinics only card test is available but they called it is ELISA).
2. Is card test is different from Elisa?
3. Is the card test can be relied on?
Thank You

Sorry I can't be of any help to you on that test.

A card test is a rapid hiv imunocromatographic lateral flow test, so is as good as any elisa for a negative result, you can relay on it. eventhought you didint needed.

Dear ECN44120/Teak

Could you please comment

Went for my test exactly after 6 weeks and 5 days of the encounter. The test was only a SCREENING TEST FOR ANTIBODIES" (no other tests are available in private clinics herein Dubai).  It took only 10-15 minutes to get the result. The result is;

1.HIV- Antibodies - Negative   -- Normal Range.

2.HbsAg- Negative --  Normal Range.

3.RPR- Non Reactive.

Are you a UAE national?

Do you know if your are a NON UAE national and tested +ve for Hep B,C and HIV you will be detained and deported.

If you need to ELISA test - go to Americam Hospital and you receive result after 5 days.

Finally .........But As Said by Teak - you were never at Risk.

THE FACT IS...you were NEVER at risk of contracting hiv.  no further test needed.

according to guidelines...IF YOU HAD AN EXPOSURE (which you did not)...3 months is conclusive.

put hiv out of your mind...you do not have a hiv concern :)

Hi as every body told you were never at Risk. No Test Needed..... I did not listen to Teak and Lizzie and I end up in spending my money in testing a lot.....

Okay I am worried about your awareness of  Dubai UAE rules.... I would say refrain from getting testing done in UAE..... You will be deported! even if you test +ve for Hep B and C.

Personally I would take Teak's and other member's adivse.....

Mean while if you can tell me which hospital you have tested... did they say they won't report to Health Ministry about result.

Hai Kum,

Thanks for your concern,
I have done my screening test at Cosmopolitan Medical centre at BurDubai. The Doctor is a nice man, he said if some thing happens wrong he would not report to the Health Ministry (as you said correctly if some thing went wrong i will be detained and will be deported within a couple of days).
Any some point of time we all do sins. Every day i am praying GOD for a relief from this situation.
I realised that It is not worth taking such a great risk in life for enjoyment which would not last for more than 3 minutes.
One more thing this forum really helps those who are in real trouble, may you all live long and God bless you.

It is very difficult for you to believe others assurance here initially. I faced the same, But you need to believe in these people's assurance as they know more about HIV.

Do not talk about sins.....

I would suggest remove your HIV concern and move on!

Are you from india! then I have some more info how to reduce or eliminate your fears! I can provide some councelling contacts in india and you can hear in your own langugae.
