Warts on finger and HIV

Is there a correlation between having warts on the hand and HIV. I had a wart 2 years ago on my finger, just one and it was removed. It hasn't returned until a month ago and now theres 3 and I feel like every time I look i see another bump on my finger. Could this be a cause from a suppressed immune system such as HIV?

I'm getting worried. Why all of a sudden did they appear on my fingers again? Please somebody, ughhhh, I was feeling so much better after my 3 month negative but now I'm thinking I might be apart of that 3% that test positive.

Absolutely, I know that anyone can get it. I was diagnosed with HPV 2 years ago and I didn't have HIV or AIDS. What I'm asking is that, would having a immune disorder such as HIV or AIDS, can that re activate the HPV virus that laid dormant for years?

That was my question really from the start.

There is no relationships between HPV and AIDS. Anyone can contract HPV. You don't have to have HIV or AIDS to contract it. There is a vaccine out for women for HPV. I suggest all women get it if they are not in a stable marriage or monogamist relationship.

Thanks. I'm going to have a dermatologist look at it tomorrow. What was the relationship between HPV and Aids?

OK - whomever this is about the warts on the hand thing - I have no clue what you are talking about. Warts on the hand are actually VERY common. The link you gave is for the sinking of the Titanic. I have researched this fully, and there is no link between warts on the hand and HIV that I can find ANYWHERE. There is, however a relationship between HPV and AIDS.

YOu had unprotected sex with a HIV pos. woman that many times and didn't get anything? Man are you fortunate. Is that for real, or were you joking again? I talked to you before, and never heard this.

So my result is conclusive in your opinion and from what you know? I don't know, I just feel like since I caught chlamydia from this experience I have HIV. Did you ever contract an STD or STI? (sorry if it's a personal question)

That was back when I thought that you need a 6 month test in order to have a conclusive result. If I read the information on these forums first, I would have known better.

Yes. I had unprotected sex 15-20 times with a woman I later found out was HIV-positive.

What Teak isn't telling you is that the hands are a very odd place to get warts. Most people with normal immune systems may get them in other areas, but getting them on the hands is usually a condition only seen in people with HIV. A recent study was done of people with outbreaks of the wart virus on their hands, and a whopping 99% of them were HIV-positive. So at this point, you've only got about a 1% chance of being negative. You might want to start thinking of starting meds soon, but of course only after your positive result has been confirmed.

My last test was on July 16 from my exposure on April 11. The test was negative. All what I wanted to know is if there is a correlation between HIV and recurrent warts on the fingers. Teak I know your on this forum to help educate everyone on HIV, but I'm not here posting ridiculous statements and questions, at least in my opinion.

And what was your result on your test and what week? We can't make you believe your results, but you should consult a mental health professional to see why you can deal with it. I know some of you would have like to have contacted HIV so that you would have something in your life different from others, but geesh, you can't survive the waiting period for a test let alone the stigma that comes with having the disease. Seek the help you need, you won't find it on the internet.

Personally, I don't think my question is ridiculous. I had a true risk and everything seems to happen so coincidental all of a sudden.

You're starting to get ridiculous with your questions. You are HIV negative and if this had been any other website, you would have already been banned.
