Was this risky? Concerned.

As I stated in previous posts, I had fully protected vaginal sex with a condom that was new and did not fail, and unprotected oral with no ejaculation (so I never had his semen inside me or in my mouth).  However he did ejaculate on my chest, and I cleaned it off with a wet towel.  This was 4+ weeks ago now.  A day after this encounter, I got the "irritation" on my labia, which went away, but then about 2 weeks later came back and started feeling annoying.  I went to my OB and she said it looked like the start of a yeast infection, but all the cultures came back negative.  I took that pill but it still felt annoying from time to time (but not like a typical yeast infection).  So then I went back to another OB at the same practice, who said it looked like I had the "remnants" of a yeast infection based on the wet mount.  A few days ago I started taking the internal prescription cream which seems to be working but I also have my period so it is hard to tell.  My OB made me very nervous about STDs and had me tested all the standard STD tests & HIV (all negative) about 23 days past this last encounter.  She told me I had to come back again when it was 6 months past, even thought it was protected sex, because she said it didn't matter whether or not sex is protected!  I hardly considered this a high risk event until she scared me, and now I have this weird yeast infection and I have not had one in years!  What is the significance of that?  Should I go back and keep getting tested?  I am really scared (did I mention I am married, and ended this affair)  Luckily I have not had sex with my husband since so if it is something I haven't given it to him. Advice here?

you have nothing to worry about..it is not due to hiv..yeast infection can spread from skin to skin so maybe tatz how you got it from him..for example the skin of his inner thigh touching ur labia..
anyways, regarding hiv concern, you have nothing to worry about..your OB is just being over conservative..your allright..
keep applyin  the internal prescription cream and you shud be alrighty!

Thanks for helping - I ask because it is weird for me to get a yeast infection.  I have gotten them in the past but not for many years.  The last time I had one or recurrent ones that lasted on/off for like 3 months (this was 10 years ago) and my OB at the time (a different doctor) said "have you ever checked your HIV status?  That is a sign of HIV" and so I checked and was obviously negative.  But NOW I am very concerned because it has been so long since having one, and a doctor on thebody.com said that it was a symptom of HIV in women.  And also this one is weird as it is not totally going away or I am not sure.  So now I am terrified. I don't have ANY other symptoms.  Also, at the point that you get yeast infections from HIV, wouldn't you also be at the point that it would turn up a positive test?  Because my test (a week after this started) was negative.  Just very concerned given all the information out there.

Ok - the ONLY reason I am worried - the single, only reason - is because I have this "tingling" feeling down there which leads me to believe this yeast infection is not going away, despite prescription strength treatment.  Which is terrifying me because a persistent yeast infection is scary (Google it!) Other than that I am fine, no ARS symptoms, no fever, no rash, no anything else.  Just this damn weird yeast infection.  I am going to test at 6 and 8 weeks, and if it is negative, I guess I can move on.

stop googling stuff..it only makes you worry for no reason...you can test if u want to but expect a big fat negative...
