What Risk(s) Am I In? Very Concerned (Scared)

Doctor,

Hello,

19 days ago, i put myself at risk. It was a homosexual encounter (first time). I received oral. I had cuts (not bleeding) it's like eczema (Red and bumpy) on my penis. I then put the the tip of my penis on his anus.  the tip of my penis was pushing threw his anus but i didn't felt it in (it was really dark and i think i would have felt it, hopefully, he told me i didn't went in). 10 days after the sexual encounter, i felt really tired (Fatigue), i had a sore throat, headache and for the fever i don't know if i had one. I had a cold sweat at night, and a cold sweat sometimes on my forehead. I had chills and sometimes my hand and my feet would be freezing and after a while get back to normal. i had a little rash on my neck and on my face, you can see pictures here :

I went to see my doctor and she told me that i can test now but it is not conclusive, i'll have to wait 3 month before testing. in the public forum, they told me i had no risk, but after seeing all these symptoms and some of them that i never had before freaks me out. Can you tell me what are my risk?

Thank you doctor

Welcome to our Forum. Your post is a little bit difficult to follow but it sounds as though this was a no risk encounter. Oral sex is not a risk for HIV an if there was not anal penetration, then that too was no risk.

Your symptoms do not concern me.  The rash of early HIV is typically widespread, not localized to the face and neck.  Further, when people at risk get flu-like symptoms, despite the fact that these symptoms occur with early HIV, less than 1% turn out to have HIV because these same symptoms are symptoms of far more common, every day, viral infections of the sort than most people get from time to time.

Since this appears to have been a no risk encounter, I would not worry.  If you feel the need for testing however, if your symptoms were due to HIV your blood test would be positive a week after the symptoms began.  Further, results of current HIV are definitive 8 weeks following exposure. The recommendation to wait 12 weeks is overly conservative.

I hope these comments an information are helpful.EWH

No, HIV is not spread on or by inamimate objects such as towels. The virus dies quickly on exposure to the environment and is not tranmitted from contaminated towels, etc.  EWH

Doctor,

i forget to tell you that i had nausea and each time a was eating, after my meal, i felt like throwing up. I know you already told me that my risk are 0 of having hiv but could stress make all this symptomes all at once?

Thank you

Thank you doctor,

doctor, i had Candida Balanitis on my penis while i had the encounter. I was reading on another site this 'Inflammation of the glans (glands) and prepuce may also provide a route for the acquisition of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)''. Is this true ?
I'm terrified at the momment
