with them. The first time i had sex was 2 years ago, then about 8 months ago and the most recent ( on april 19).
I took an oral hiv test on may 19- two days after noticing the "white patches". The test came back negative. This means that my first two encounters was with no risk. I asked the guy i last had sex with if he had tested negative and he assured me he did. So i tested negative after exactly one mouth after my sexual encounter. What are the chances that i got a false negative result. Right now i only have 1 patch- left inner cheek. I don't have a white tounge or anything else unusual. I have been fine. I have been brushing more and have been using listerine and patches seem to be decreasing in amount. I usually wake up with 2-3 patches that throughout the day and by night dissappear completely. There is no pain or anything. Before i noticed the patches- i did use my lop top outside without any
sunscreem for like an hour a day. Could sun exposure have created the white patches?
I already went to two different dentist and they have told me to come back when there is alot. But i only get 3 or so.
My teeth/tounge/gums are healty looking.
If thrush/leukoplakia is a sign of HIV infection wouldn't the test come back positive after two days i noticed the patches?
I am very anxious to get tested at the 3 month mark. If i tested negative after a month what are the chances that my test will come back negative after the 3 month period????
By the way i am 17 and I
REGRET HAVING SEX.
i am so sorry but i am very nervous
Thank you for your help DR.
You had protected sex. You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV. White spots on the outsides of your cheeks? See a dermatologist if you have a concern.
