What is the risk?

Dear experts and doctors,

Can you estimate my risk of HIV and other STDs of the following incident?

I had a sex with a Chinese sex worker around 3 weeks ago. I used different condom for oral and vaginal sex. I also fingered her a bit used my right hand. During the intercourse, I checked from time to time to make sure the condom did not break. However, around the end of the intercourse, I used my left hand to remove the condom. It was a quick action and I did not check if the condom break or any vaginal fluid left in my penis. I then used my left hand (likely had some vaginal fluid at the time I fingered her) with to masturbate myself until ejaculate. what's the risk of this incident? Should I get tested?

Hi tom

I had sex the other day. N my condom broke. I was out in literally 2 seconds. I have taken an injection and 1 tablet from a medical center after speaking to a doctor. He said i have very little chance of getting infected by STD or HIV. Theorotically yes but do i need to have a penetrative sex to get HIV or even STD. Please advice

Regards

No. you never have any risk. I think you are causing yourself to worry needlessly.

there are no specific symptoms on HIV. wait for the appropriate time to be tested. test 6-8 week to know you status. follow-up on the 12th week.

Thanks all for replying me.

I hope that I am just being silly. It is only 3 weeks after the exposure. I know it is too early to test. I am scare of getting any ARS symptom now. What are the ARS symptoms?

you have been advised already. if your condom failed, you will see your organ barely exposed.

Hi stupidman2010,

You are asking if you need to get tested. "should i get tested?" Of course you may get a test as you wish.

But with regards to your risk, Vance2335 had given you the advice that you are safe with a condom. The risk comes in if the condom breaks or leaks or tears.

Sexually active individuals are advised to have std and hiv screenings once in a while, so you may consider your test a "screening test".

Listen to Vance2335, you will be fine. Take care!

May God bless

The reason that I am so worry is that I was told by a doctor that protected sex is less that 1% risk . He said that sometimes the virus can leak out.

He also said that it could happened between 1 in 10000 and 1 in 100000.

Thanks again.

Last question. Is there any documented case of HIV infection via protected sex?

1. You would know if the condom broke. We don't deal with "what if's" here.

2. I read what you wrote, my answer is not going to change.

Thanks!

Two more Qs.

1. What if the condom break? I really could not remember.

2. Will my quickly removal of the condom caused any vaginal fluid left in the penis or even the 'opening'. What is the risk that I masturbated and rubbed any fluid into the penis 'opening'?

You had no risk and no need to test.
