What is the timeline for the symptoms of HIV to show?

Hi, i am just wondering if anyone has a timeline on how and when the symptoms will occur.
Most specifically I am concerned about the fever/night sweats/swollen glands, loss of appetite, mouth sores, and also if any one has any information about the affects that HIV might have on my gf's period? possibly making it light 2 months after infection

Majority of people who have recently contracted HIV don't show any symptoms at all.
If they do, they show symptoms at 2-4 weeks after the exposure, and symptoms last for 1-2 weeks.

HIV is not diagnosed on the basis of symptoms. The only way to know one's status for sure is to test at 3 months post exposure.
