Where are lymph nodes usually located if they swell

Hi,

Am just trying to get an idea of where lymph nodes usually swell if one is infected with HIV.

I pulled up this lymph node diagram on this site

I want to know if these are the locations or just the major locations.

Becasue I have a swollen lymph node of the back of my elbow ( this is, on my triceps)

I also have one on my Hamstring at the bak of my leg (well i assume its a lymph node)

I also one one on the side of my bicep.

According to the diagrams lymph nodes do no exist there.

So is it possible to have lymph nodes on the places I "think" I have them.

Hey,

Swollen lymph nodes will be in the same place as unswollen lymph nodes. OK, before you get mad at that smart ass answer, let me say one thing: self diagnosing swollen lymph nodes is really not so accurate.

If you are worried, take yourself to a doctor and let he or she feel your lymph nodes and tell you if they are swollen or not. My guess is that they aren't, and that the places you think you have lymph nodes, you really don't.
