White patches on the tonsils

White patches on the tonsils

Hi Doctor,
I have already posted here once about 4 months ago. I was worried about a swollen cervical lymph node (which is still there and maintanis pretty much it original size ~1cm) and after seeking your advice I went to see a doctor who said it's not anything to worry about.

I had an intercourse with a callgirl in late December. My condom slipped off a couple of minutes before we stopped, probably because I kept going for a couple of minutes after I came and the condom became loose. I panicked after this happened, particularly since I had had laser hair removal around my genitals 24 hours before, even though I didn't see any open wounds on or around my genitals at the time.

I tested negative at a private lab in Montreal during the 12th week after the intercourse (82 days after). I also tested twice when I was in Iran, 4.5 and 5 months after, both came back negative. I had an internist examine my lymph nodes over there and he said I didn't have anything to worry about.

It's now been over 3 months since I decided to forget about HIV. However, I have had some abdominal pain, bloating and mild diarrhea ever since and my stool test was positive only for endolimax nana which is usually non-pathogenic and asymptomatic.
Since a couple of weeks ago I've been having sore throat, runny nose and sneezing which I though was allergy. But last week I noticed a white patch on my tonsil, I scraped it off (it was solid and smelled badly) and it was gone for a few days. Today, I had a couple of white patches on my tonsil and I scrape some off but a little bit of it just won't go away.
Right now I have a mild sore throat and runny nose as well as some abdominal discomfort but no fever or anything else.

Now here's my questions: 1)Is there any chance, given all I have described that I do have HIV? 2) What do you think the white patches on my tonsil are? Are they oral thrush?

Thank you for your help.

Your negative tests prove you do not have HIV, and that any symptoms you have--no matter what they are--cannot be due to an underlying HIV infection.  Period.  Hundreds of things, all more common than HIV or thrush, cause white spots on the tonsils.  And your other symptoms.

No follow-up questions/comments, please.  There is no further information you can provide that would modify my opinion.  If you're concerned about the white spots, see a health care provider.
