Window period

85 days ago I had sex with a woman and while I was performing her vaginal sex the condom broke.

Can I test tomorrow to have conclusive results or do I have to wait more 5 days to complete the whole 3 months?

Thank you

I tested at the day 86 (4th generation test) and the result was nonreactive. Although, I'm feeling bad today. I have the symptons of a flu and fever (37,6ºC).

Should I test again? I'm frightened considering the possibility of being in the middle of late seroconversion.

Come on.. You've been with MH long enough to know that it doesn't happen. You've answered a few questions yourself. You know that you're conclusively negative and whatever you're feeling isn't hiv.
Sorry, malbat. I have to seek for psychology help. I feel scared about that, but I won't ask anymore. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you again

Thanks to your advice I'm gonna wait and this is going to be my third and (hope) last test

I tested 2 days after the episode - I was ok
I tested 29 days after the episode - I was ok again

(Both tests were 4th generation)

The lady tested 2 days after the episode and she was ok (prick test finger)

Thanks again

Then I 'm gonna wait. I never understood the window period very well.  12 weeks x 7 days = 84 days. But some sites say 3 months, that is, 90 days.

Thank you

Not much of a difference actually. I'll rather take the view of testing after 84 days.

If you can accept the fact that you tested 5 days short of the 12 week mark and not get overworked by it then I don't see a reason why. The result isn't going to change in 5 days. But if you can wait and complete the 12 weeks, you can move on knowing that you've tested right on the dot.

Sorry should read as 3 months mark.
