Worried about HIV test being accurate

I am seriously worried about my test results. I started having sex with a guy off and on May 06 through October 06. Using protection sometimes. I also had sex with another guy during August 06 through October 06 we also used protection sometimes but not all. I KNOW THAT WAS STUPID, I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN I AM WORRIED SICK!!!! I went to the emergency room October 24 because of a irreglar cycle. They performed some routine blood test; I give them six tubes of blood. Before I left they stated that there was nothing wrong and sent me on my way. Whould an HIV test been done at that time and if so I should have heard something by now right?
I also tried calling but they would not give me result and stated that if anything was seriously wrong they would have notified me.
I have one more question my parents took out a life insurance policy in Janurary 07, they required an HIV test. How accurate are the oral fluid test and if something was wrong would they have informed me by now and was that enough time after having sex to produce an accurate result?

You guess it, I did have sex with the same guy(may06-oct06)about 2 months ago. But we used a condom but he did not want to, so I am afraid he took it off (he has tried it before) and I believe that is why I am still worried. What do you think?? Dont mean to bother!

So, since I have not heard from the insurance company about my results, would that be a good sign and for as I know I still have life insurance as of last month?

You would have been told if they were going to test you for HIV. Four months after the fact, you can rely on your test results.

I am very happy if this is true but im kinda scared to get happy I have more test coming at the end of this month; you know yearly check ups and do not want to be disappointed later. I have read so much about testing negative and than positive later.

You took the test a 3 months your results are going to change unless you have had recent exposure.

Oral fluids tests like Oraquick and other FDA approved tests are reliable. You are fine if the test you took was done 3 months after the last exposure. Take care!
