Worried about HIV

So back in August (its Feb now) I became ill with flu like symptoms (body aches, fever, swollen lymph nodes, canker sores in mouth, swollen gums) and I went to the doctor and they just said that it was a virus and that it would pass, but could possibly be the beginning signs of HIV so I should get tested.  Since then my lymph nodes have gone down quite a bit but I can still feel them and I've been getting canker sores probably once or so every other month.  Usually in my throat but sometimes other places in my mouth.  Just a couple weeks ago I started to notice the back of my tongue getting white and bumpy and having dry mouth.  I've obviously been obsessing about this and terrified so I know all the warning signs of HIV and I have quite a few of them.  I have had quite swollen tonsils ever since I got sick in August.  I haven't been tested yet because I'm absolutely terrified but have gotten to the point where it is very important that I do so.  Has anyone gone through this same thing and been positive or negative?  What happened?  Any advise/help would be much appreciated.  I'm just worried/curious.  Ugh...this sucks!!

have any of you had the swollen lymph nodes for an extended amount of time?  Plus isn't it weird that since the illness i've had canker sores on my throat probably once a month?  I'm just gonna go get tested to make sure but just wanted to see if anyone has gone through this.

He's not at risk and doesn't need to get tested.

Stress and anxiety will cause canker sores. Stomach problems will cause canker soars. Mouthwash, smoking and antibiotics to name a few will cause thrush. You don't have a reason to be concerned about HIV.

It was just such a strange illness that I've never had before.  And its strange that I've been having recurring canker sores, lymph nodes not going down, and the weird thrush like thing on my tongue.  Have you heard of any other type of illness that this sounds like?  Not to be annoying.  Or has anyone else that is reading this gone through something similar?

You haven't did anything to put yourself at risk.
Oral is no risk
Making out isn't a risk

If you feel unwell see your doctor. You don't have an HIV concerned.

well honestly i've been racking my brain about that too.  I was tested about a year prior to getting sick and I haven't had unprotected sex since.  The only thing is is I started seeing someone probably two months before I got sick but haven't to this day had anal sex with him.  Just oral, make out, stuff like that.  I have swallowed but way after I got sick.  So I don't know.  Is it possible that these symptoms could be something else?  Or could i be creating these symptoms psychologically because I've been thinking about it so much?  Does that happen?
