Worried about hiv

I had an un protected sex 6 weeks ago, and i can feel a small lymphnode on the back of the neck (size of a lemon seed) for the past one week.  I never noticed it bedofe, but i can feel it now.
It is not swallen or tender.  And also, I don't have any lymph nodes that I can feel with my hand.

My question is... if the swallen lymph node i am able to feel is the symptom of hiv, i should be able to feel in some more places also by this time right?  What i mean is... i should be able to feel it under the arm pits and groin area also.  Because, i have this for a week.

If i have a swallen lymph node as a symptom of HIV, i should have it more places within a week span correct?.

Please advise me, i am very worried.

First off don't self-diagnose yourself. If you have a concern that you may have swollen lymph nodes then have them diagnosed by a doctor.

I will go to the doctor on monday, but i an nervous about it.
The lymph node is not visible to outside, i can only feel if i tro to find it.  Not ichy or pain.

Please advise me.

LOL did you know you could feel your lymph nodes ????
and yes a normal one on your neck will feel pea sized or very small

He justs rubs his hand on the outter skin gently THATS IT
so you dont have swollen lymps my friend

i just want to ask, if its hiv, is it possible to have swollen lymp nodes on the neck 3 months after an exposure? are lymp nodes on and off i mean swelling in two days gone after that, or swollen in the evening gone in the day? please answer thnx

more than 3 months ago, never had anything except for on and off lymp nodes on my neck after my unprotected vaginal sex, is on and off lymp nodes swelling alone after 3 months a sign of ars/hiv

symptoms of infection come at 2-4 weeks post infection and last for 1-3 weeks.  not everyone experiences symptoms.

if you had unprotected sex with someone and you dont know their hiv status...then you should test.

you can test NOW for a CONCLUSIVE result.  testing is the ONLY way to know one's status.

hi thanks for your reply it helps alot, one last thing, do u mean that lymp nodes wont swell after a month of exposure, coz mine still appears more than 3 months after exposure and they are on and off

swollen lymph nodes can be caused from a multitude of illnesses.  symptoms cant diagnose hiv.

the only way to know your status is by testing.

i know that, b4 throwing questions here i read many other q&a's already to avoid asking the same question. i know can never self diagnose. just wanted to ask and get an answer if its possible to have swollen lymp nodes alone if its ars. as i told u i have neck lymp nodes swelling alone and they are still swelling 3 months after exposure and they are on and off. is this a strong indication of ars? i never had anything no fever etc only nodes swell on the neck

No getting swollen lymph nodes alone is NOT ARS. Have nothing to do with HIV.

see your doctor if you are having health concerns...he can diagnose whether or not you are having swollen nodes.

most ppl who think their lymph nodes are swollen, find that when they see their doctor, that the nodes are not actually swollen.  prodding around looking and feeling for them can also cause swelling.

Hi everyone, very interesting discussion! just one more question, does having a slight pain in both sides of your groins within 24 hours of unprotected sex but it disappears on the next day can be assumed as an HIV symptom or ARS? Thanks!!
