Worried about my risk of exposure

Dear Dr.H

I recently fingered a high risk woman. I am not sure whether she is hiv +ve or not. There are no cuts sores or abrasions in my fingers. however there are torn cuticles in my fingers at the side of the nail where the rest of the nail joins the finger. I am not a nail biter or skin biter. These deep grooves in between are really dried out and as far as I could see does not seem to have blood flow. It has been like this for a while before and after the fingering incident.

Am I at risk of infection? Should I get tested. Please kindly reply as I am really worried.

Regards

You do not get HIV from fingering. You need to read up on, transmission.
