Worried about new HIV Infection

Hello All,

First of all I would like to appreciate the forum for enormous and useful information you guys share. I will share my worries which is mentally making me weak.

I am from South India (Bangalore). 39 Years old with pretty good healthy conditions. I had unprotected sex with couple of middle aged ladies .  Was ok for couple of months.

After 10 weeks (exactly 73 days after exposure), I got Fever with headache, the temperature was 99.9 degree, with mild cold. The fever stayed for 4 days and headache for two days. Had night sweat couple of times during the fever. No body pain or sour throat. Consulted a doctor and took antibiotics.  So after a bed rest of 4 days my Health was normal. But for a weeks time I felt little tiredness inside. After couple of weeks again I had a mild fever, but got cured in a days time by antibiotics. After that no much health issues till now (4 months)

2 weeks after my Flu got cured I had unprotected sex with my 2 girl friends (12 weeks after first exposure).

Girl No 1 : Got Flu after 45 days. Fever, headache and tiredness. She had the flu for almost 10 days. Her kid (2 yrs old) also got fever simultaneously

Girls No 2: Also Got  Flu after 45 days. Fever, Headache, body pain. She had severe fever for just one day. Had Head Ache & Body pain for 4 days and tiredness for a week. After a week she developed soar throat. Her kid (5 Yrs old) also got infected after her flu cycle. She also had her menstruation during this period (Menstruation happened after a year due to Maternity).

Both the girls did not have any flu or fever in last 3 years or so. Both the girls are at different locations

What are the possibilities of HIV infection for me and my partners? Do I need to do a HIV test?

Appreciate you advise.

If you had unprotected sex, you test. An ag/ab test at 6 weeks will give you a good indication followed by a 12th week simple ab test to conclude.

A discussion about symptoms is worthless. Having symptoms and the lack of it doesn't indicate your status. Furthermore, not everyone gets symptoms once infected. And true symptoms of ARS mimics everyday illnesses. So, the only way for you to know your status is by testing.

Moving forward, please use condoms, they work.
