If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
Actually your chances of contracting HIV in the worst case scenerio, that is un protected vaginal sex with a known female HIV carrier are 1:2000. So the odds are better than you thought. That is for HIV
For chlamydia, I beleve the odds are 1:500. BTW, just because a person cotracts chlamydia from an exposure does not give an automatic garuntee of contract HIV due to the same exposure. The odds are still 1:2000.
At least with chlamydia there is a cure.
To try to ease your mind. I have been killing myself over a broken condom incededent with a pro. She also told me she was just fine. She was a peach, and went with me to have her tested the following day. She tested negative.
But i put myself through tons of stress, my body went through just about every ARS symptom one could imagine, except for a fever, and I tested negative today. So I know my contact with her is something that I can put behind me. Now the other girl..... well that is another story.
My point is, some folks say, it is all in your head, or you are worrying yourself sick.... You just may be.
Right now I think I may have chlamydia.... But again it may all be in my head, I have to get tested, and I will do that next weelk.
Relax, you will receive a negative test result in two weeks and you will believe it.
And your groin pain does not sound anything like HIV.
Don't worry!
Thanks guys, very gratefull for your advise. Does anyone know if I would be able to see / feel enlarged glands, if I did have them in my groin? Is 3 days too soon to have groin pain from an HIV exposure?
Teak - sorry for spelling your name wrong on the original post. I fully respect the effort guys like you put in to sites likes this.
Teak, what is your opinion please? Would I be able to feel / see enlarged glands in the groin, is the absence of other symptons like a rash and fever a good sign and would I get the pains a few days after exposure?
Your symptoms came on to early to be related to HIV. Having a possible enlarged node in the groin area is also not indicative to HIV. If you have a concern see your doctor.
