Worried sick... Are my symptoms risk of HIV?

Hi, ABout 5 weeks back I had sex with an office colleague. The girl is working with me for past 3 years and I have known her personally. However we got intimate only last month. During sex I was wearing a condom. However in the middle of the act, she asked me to remove it as she didn't like the condom much. I removed the condom thinking this was a safe bet since I knew her and she is not known to be promiscous. She had been in a monogamous relationship and will be married to the person in about 6 months. However, in about 10 days time of the incidence I developed a sore throat. It was bad as I was running mild fever. I went to the ENT doctor and he said it was a bacterial infection and prescribed antibiotics for a week. In about 2 days my symptoms improved and the fever subsided. However its been 2 weeks since my medicine course is over but I still have severe coughing (dry cough). It looks like allergic since i don't have any cold however only in some situations like closed and damp room I have a major attack. Now I am freaking out if I have developed ARS symptoms and need your advice on what steps I need to take to diagnose problems if any. Please also validate my risk in the circumstances. Thanks for your help

the only way to know if one experiences "true" ars symptoms is by testing positive.

test at the appropriate time

I will have to agree with you Lizzie... so basically it means I need to have a test done after 3months period. What do you make out of the symptoms? Are them resembling ARS?
