how accurate is an hiv test at 38 days after sex? i tested negative at 25 days and also negative at 38 days after sex

I am not a doctor,  Test NOW for a good indicator of your status and again at 3 months for your conclusive result.  A  6 week test is very reassuring and is not likely to change by your 3 month test.

Sex was unprotected and we dated for about six months and the last time her and I had sex was about 6.5 weeks ago. So you think that the 38 day test after sex is not that accurate? i know i see a lot that a 6 week is very accurate but what are your thoughts doctor?

if it was unprotected sex you must test at 3 months for 100% results.  If you want a good idea of what your 3 month result will be test at 6 weeks.
