Yellow Stool. Sign of HIV?

by Confused!, May 22, 2007 12:00AM
I have been going throuhg a lot of these forums and haven't yet seen anyone list yellow stool as one of their symptoms for HIV. I have read that this is the case. For the past 4-5 months I have experienced a deep, thick cough on and off, a fair amount of post-nasal drip and of course yellow stool. This phlegm is usually clear but has in the past 2-3 weeks become thick, green and yellow. Does anyone know if this could be HIV? Or has anyone heard of any responses to such symptoms? I wouldn't say I have had any "high risk" sexual encounters but this is seeming to be my last resort. Can anyone shed some light on this?

No, yellow stool is not a sign of HIV.Why dont you get a test if you already passed 4-5 months ?

your beyond 13 wks, get tested for hiv if youve had an exposure. youll be conclusive, doesnt at all sound like ars symptoms.
yellow, thick mucoussy stools usually are linked to colitis, either parasitic, pseudomembranous, ulcerative, not hiv.
1, see a doctor for your symptoms, maybe nothing, but if its intestinal problems, you need to be evaluated.
2, get tested for hiv and collect your results.
