angular chelitis

I have angular chelitis. If it was related to HIV would it be the only symptom I would have? I'm thinking that if it's caused by a weakening immune system that I would be experiencing other symptoms or getting sick once in a while. I feel OK.

Welcome back to the Forum.  Angular chelitis is not a problem strongly associated with HIV.  It is a common, mild fungal infection that occurs regularly in lots of people and, in most people clears up by itself.  There is no reason to worry that you angular chelitis might be related to HIV.

It may also be helpful for me to point out that virtually all of the problems suggested to be possibly indicative of HIV infection on the internet actually occur more commonly in persons without HIV than in persons with HIV.   This includes yeast infections,  thrush, etc.  When persons get HIV, these rather common problems occur a bit more commonly than they would normally. thus trying to determine risk for HIV using symptoms of any sort really is non-productive and an exercise in anxiety production.  I note that it has been years since your encounter with another man.  If you have been tested, believe the results.  If you have not, get tested and stop worrying yourself needlessly (and I AM NOT suggesting testing because anything you have said makes me think there is any meaningful risk for HIV from what you have written on this another MedHelp sites earlier).  EWH
