anxiety will kill me.

hello sir, my problem is that i was having my HIV test in a lab(which came non reactive), the physician used new syringe and cotton to clean my vein, then he injected and gave me second cotton just after removing the syringe to press my vein. my concern is that there were drops of blood on the table where he kept the second cotton before giving me. the drops of the blood could be of previous patient assuming the blood hiv+ and the physician kept the cotton on the blood and gave me. (1) can i be infected?
(2) should i go for test? the difference between me and the previous customer was 2 minutes.

please don't give consolation words say clearly, as i asked helpline they asked 4 test at 12 weeks later to be sure

HIV is not alive, it is active or inactive. HIV is a fragile virus and when exposed to air,PH change, temperature change it damages the outer shell of the virus and the virus cannot attach to the T cell which renders the virus inactive. You never had an exposure.

The general rule is that out in the environment HIV can't survive,if it could there would be transmissions from environmental surfaces which in 30+ years there never has been. This is why some uneducated people fear being around people who are HIV+ because they think they might get infected which is just not true, this is what has created the stigma. You know what the modes of transmission are and therefore you know you never had a risk. This will be my final answer. Please accept the facts.

but why expert in forum talking about chances.
even when the lancet don't have hollow point so it is quite in air.  which is more than 10 minutes. (it was my vein the virus would have entered in my body, now the matter is whether it was active or not )

now i am ok, i full trust ur words. but answer it.

There is no exact answer but it's considered by many HIV experts to only be a few minutes,if that. The outer shell becomes damaged once exposed to air.

To detail everything that makes is no risk just takes up too much time. (Time, temp change, outside of body, little amount, ph changes etc...)
