you to some place useful? You are at 8 weeks so get a standard anti-body test. The result is highly reliable and then get a confirmatory test at 12/13 weeks which is conclusive, if you have had a real risk that is.
then after antibody production starts antigens become undetected. No it's not true that then you could take an antibody test a get a true reading. You have to give the body time for to build up antibodies for the tests to detect.
I already made a antibody test ( Advia Centaur HIV1/0/2) at 7 weeks and it was negative.( but as I was still symptomatic, I am afraid the result of the test does not mean anything)
I am so scared and I would like so much to know quickly ( because I am married )
I took a big risk ( sex without condom in Asia)...and it was the only time of my life I cheated....
I went to public clinic and gave blood to test STD .the health care practitioner made test for hepC,gonorrhea, sphilis and Hiv1/2 in an hour.he made test in lab and used one of the simple rapid test methods(I think so !! ) as far as I know and search from internet.he said not Elisa. it looks like oraquick, unigold recombigen etc.. because he showed me results and looks like temprature sticks and he was explaining one line etc.....
he said that all test was negative!!! and based on this information .Do I need another test??? my last exposure was 2 years ago. how this test reliable , correct results?
thanks so much
