blood + shampoo ....risk?

I live with a friend who is HIV+. One day while using the bathroom I noticed that there was a redish pink jelly like substance on a tissue near a shampoo bottle.
Part of it was shampoo. I touched it with my finger to smell it and see what it was. I did not give it much thought, then I washed my hands and proceeded to take a bath from the same shampoo bottle.
Later on I saw that my friend had a cut on his hand. Then it came to my mind that that redish pink substance could have been blood on shampoo. This incident has left me very worried and uneasy.
Two things that I can tell for sure are:
1. My friend used the bathroom nearly an hour ago. So that substance would have been lying there on the tissue paper for nearly an hour.
2. I just smelled it. But I also touched it with my fingers. I did not have any visible cuts on my fingers at the time I touched that substance.

Also, I'm worried because I used shampoo from the same bottle. I also used a facewash bottle that my friend may have used nearly an hour ago, and he was bleading from his hand.

Please advice me as to what should I do ?

Oh on the same manner as drinking out of the same glass. Go educate yourself on HIV transmission. All of your concerns are unwarranted. Have you doctor check you for OCD.

Hi Teak,

Thanks for the reply.

No, I did not have unprotected sex with the person. But I did come in contact with his blood which is capable of infection.
Also, I used the same shampoo & facewash. and it is said that infection can occur through eyes etc...
This is what is worrying me.

If you didn't have unprotected sex with it, you aren't going to contract HIV. You need to get educated on HIV transmission.
