brief unprotected insertive anal sex

brief unprotected insertive anal sex

Hi, I am a 33 year old gay male and recently had an encounter with another gay male.  Before having sex, he told me he's HIV- and was tested a few months ago.  We had mostly unprotected oral sex (he sucking him, him sucking me, 69).  But when I was getting close to ejaculating, he sat on my penis and we proceeded to have unprotected anal briefly (under 1 minute) before I ejaculated inside of him.  Since he is likely HIV- and it was receptive on my part and was brief, I figure my risk is not particularly high.  I do plan on getting tested, but I just wanted to see what my risk was from this encounter.  Thank you.

Your risk was HIGH.

Okay after posting this, I just looked up some statistics.  According to thebody.com risk of insertive anal is 6.5 out of 10,000.  That's not much higher is receptive oral sex (1 out of 10,000).  Our those statistics misleading?  Or is 6.5 out of 10,000 still considered high risk?

Numbers will never tell you anything. Your test results will tell you. Had you used a condom you wouldn't be here today asking questions on this forum.

I understand that I need to be tested.  I'm just trying to understand the level of risk from a scientific point of view.  A lot of people here seem to think that receptive oral is low risk, even zero risk.  Shouldn't insertive anal be also be low - certainly not zero, but lower risk at least?  In my case, I have no sores or breakage on my penis, the exposure was very brief (probably about 30 seconds), there was plenty of lubricant used, and zero/low friction (he basically sat on my penis and there wasn't really any "thrusting" involved).  I did ejaculate, but that would've been more risk for him not me.  Trust me, I will get tested and will never ever do this again....

Insertive unprotected anal is never LOW.

Ok I understand that.  I was hoping for a more complete discussion about risk factors besides just one word answers, but I guess I'll look elsewhere for that.  Thanks for taking the time to respond.
