can I have hiv and it wont come out positive for antibody test at 22 weeks
On the 18th of February 2015, I had protected sex with a lady whk is on her menstruation. At the end of the sex, the condom was still in tact but I saw some blood stain on the condom before removing it from my penis. I carefully removed the condom and washed my hands anx penis with water. After about two or 3 weeks, I started having serious muscle ache and joint pain. The skin on my hands started peeling and replacing. Aftr 3 weeks, I lost appetite and could not eat for up to 3 weeks. My doctor ran several test on my inckuding hep A, B, and C and hiv and all were negative. He aslo did a CBC and my WBC was very low. Aftr 42 days, I got the lady to do hiv test and she came back negative on alere detrmin hiv 1/2 antibody test. I started feeling vry weak and fatigue, I started having burning skin and itching. I feel sick almost evry time and it may dissappear and come back. I hVe run up to 10 hiv tests in diffrent labbs in Nigeria up to the 22 weeks. All tests were rapid blood antibody tests for hiv 1 and 2 and they have been all negative. I ran the test At 22 weeks just last week and it was negative. I am still feeling sick anx urinating heavily every 30 minutes to one hour. I have checked for diabetes severally and they doctors say I do not have any form of diabetics. I did a kidney functiin test and it showed a rise in my creatinine level and on othr tests, I could go high and also come back to normal for up to 4 times that I did the test. I have had other tests znd the doctors said my kidney, liver, lungs and spleen are very ok. I still feel sick and fatigue every time. I urinate every 30 minutes to one hour and more when I take water. My tong has been white. I am confused. All this started since February and are still on till today July 27. Does it mean that I have hiv and it has refused to show on antibody tests up to 22 weeks?

White tongue is something nearly everyone has. It's caused my dry mouth and dehydration, which both stem easily from anxiety. It's this simple: If you had HIV, you would've tested positive a long time ago. And remember, you didn't have a risk in the first place.
I know anxeity can cause symptoms but there are some things that I saw that convinced me I hv contacted hiv. A month after the incidence, my cbc showed a very low wbc of 2300 in a range of 4000 to 11000. Another is 4 red dots like mosquitoes bite on each of the back of my hands that stayed 4 days and dissappered after 5 months of the incidencd. Also my tong has been white since I noticed it by March. May be anxeity is causing muscle and joint cramp and pain with feeling sick and nauseas or chest pain, but can anxeity make creatinine high in my blood and also cause frequent heavy urination
I am worried bc some expects It ay take 6 months and even more before antibody tests can dictate hiv antibodies in some people
I realize you may be confused. I'm wondering why, if you've tested negative for everything else, you're stuck on HIV which you've tested negative for the most.
James I am confused. I started testing from March 16, 2015 and I have been testing for about 3 times monthly, like every week till today. Just this August that started, I have tested 3 times. On the 1st, 3rd and today 4th. I hv checked for all stds in April, may and june. I hv done kidney, liver function tests with blood and urine all were normal. The only thing was a slight increase in creatinine which later normalised in a second test. I hv checke all forms of diabetes and all came back negative. I hv treated malaria and typhoid fever severally and all tedrs are negative. What more can I do. My doctors are tired. They do not even like to see me again
You tested negative because you don't have HIV. Symptoms occur from the development of antibodies so these "symptoms" are not HIV because you would've tested negative long before now. You're FINE
I just went to A medical laboratory to run an hiv test. They took my blood from my vein and after 30 minutes the brought out the result to me and it reads. HIV 1/2 negative as at 04/08/2015. Kit used. Determine. Lot no. 59419K100. Exp date. 23/08/2015.
I am confused. My throught I blocked, I now has horse voice, my tongue amd mouth is very dry. My tongue is white the test in my mouth is so bad, I dont know whether is is metalic or salty. Unfortunately, I finaly at 23 weeks and 3 days, I tested positive. I bought the test kit and brought it home. I out my blood on the kit from my pricked finger, I did not use a buffer. I saw a faint line and anothe clear line. I have always known I contacted hiv from that act on Feb 18. My wife is still sick and she doesnt know whzt is wrong with her. All her symptoms are same like mine. I had unprotected sex with her about 5 days after Feb 18. I dont think I want to live to see all these happen.
August 18th will be 6 months. What are they testing you with? After this test pursue other areas for your issues.

I respect the opinion of the experts here but I want to state this fact. In Africa, the conclusive testing period is 6 months. I have been doi g test since 28 days after my exposure and now, I have confirmed this fact that it is real Now. I am in pain and lost here. I dont know if I can live with hiv or just end it now

Thank you JamesD1991. I am also urinating every 30 minutes to 1 hr. I hv not been sick like this before. My very low wbc in March a month after the incidence scares me. My constan fatigue and skin pain. Last week I also saw about 4 mosquito like red rashes on the back of each of my hands. I seriously hope and pray I dont hv hiv. My mouth has also been testing salt like or silver tast. Yes, I got the lady I had the sex with last week and she did a hiv test with me which was the 22 week and she and I tested negative, but she told me she had an unprotected sex with a man in January this year. My fear is that she may hv gotten hiv and not tested positive yet and since the seroconversion time is the greatest time of infection she may have infected me.
If whatever you're feeling was HIV, you'd test positive. It's that simple. And white tongue is something almost everyone has. Your "symptoms" in no way indicate infection.
