Hi
This may seem a stupid question but I need to ask.. I have been having terrible oral trouble on and off..one doctor said it was one thing..another said it was thrush..I tested for hiv and it was neg..however I was wondering if it could be recent infection? would this be a normalNormal saline flush ars symptom? my risk has been low to be honest but i cant help worrying.also...last question.. these sores in my mouth sometimes break open.. well..last night when I was out chatting with a friend I drank from his beer bottle straight after him.. Realised later I had an open sore..well..lets say he had hiv..would I get it through and open sore and drinking from his bottle? Maybe it is paranoia now..but I would appreciate seeing if there was a risk. Thanks
Unless he has blood coming from his mouth while drinking that beer, you cannot contract HIV through casual encounters such as kissing, sharing utensils, restroom and etc.
Saliva has a special sugar enzyme that doesn't allow HIV to produce. So HIV cannot be transmitted through saliva alone.
