relations with them, still- this bought about a slight anxiety attack . As they say, I have done nothing to fear but there is "always that niggling thought at the back of your head". The sore throat did cause me to have severe breathing problems twice. But after that its been just a sore throat. No cough, or sputum, or pain on swallowing, slight voice change but that was temporary.
I googled my way to more paranoia but I didnt have any related acue retroviral symptoms. No diarrhoea, or weight loss, or malaise or fever or rash. I did however have a slight tingling sensation in my legs but thats about it(Im a vegetarian, and started Bcomplex recently the symptoms subsided after that). No palpable nodes either. palpable sub mandibular nodes, but I have those have been present for years. I know being a homosexual puts me at high risk. However I did stress myself out and bought myself to a near breakdown point leading to some nasty apthous ulcers. My left side parotid duct is inflammed as well but has calmed down after the Bcomplex medication. Im not a drug user, or having multiple sex partners. I have had mono when i was 16 so Im familiar with the symptoms I would have if it was ARS, plus I work at the hospital and I have none of the severity of those symptoms which I see in some patients. I did conduct some blood tests.. CBC,DC,TC everything was normal. Lymphocytes were slightly high(2.95) vs neutro(2.86) but have subsided down to 2.39(lympho)vs 2.69(neutro) , on a second test conducted a week later. MCV is borderline at 80.2 though. Peripheral smear showed no atypical lymphocytes. Monospot test was negative.
Which brings me to the final question. Should I be worried or am I just having an unnecessary panic attack?
My partner has had none of the mentioned symptoms. Is this some self limiting viral condition? Looking forward to your reply as the stress is kinda killing me..
thank you,
Tom
You shouldn't have a concern as long as you know FOR SURE that your partner is not out having unpotected sex outside your relationship. If you have doubts, get tested and as for your chronic pharyngitis see your doctor.
