clamidia treatment used, but had sex 3days after is that too soon???

I got tested for at a gum clinic the other week and tested posive for clamidia. They prescribed me a one off dose of azithromycin.
the only problem is i had sex with my new girlfriend 3 days after the treatment.
My question is was this too soon could i have passed the clamidia onto her??
I have read that you should wait 7 days after treatment before unprotected sex.
