condom stored in car

Can't seem to find a definitive answer. Had intercourse with a female.  Used a condom in it's original packaging. However it was stored in my car's center console for about a month. Removed condom and no obvious leaks were detected. Any risk of condom failure or is condom failure typically catastrophic? Worried about HIV and pregnancy.  Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum.  I can help.  The concerns about storage of condoms in places where temperatues may be high such as in locked cars is that the heat can weaken the condom and lead to breakage. When condoms fail, indeed, they do so in a way that leaves no question- they break wide open.  If your condom appeared intact it was and thus your encounter was protected.  I would not worry about HIV or pregnancy in the situation you describe.

The effect of heat, just as is the case with petroleum based lubricants, is not absolute, it increases the proportions of condoms that fail.
