Dr, i am confused on the types and accuracy of the tests. I had  4 week rapid negative, a 6 week early dectection which i believe to be dna pcr with the antibody also negative, and 8 week rapid also negative, my exposure was unprotected insertive oral, heterosexually. does the types of test matter? should i continue to test, very nervous and confused.........thank you fb31

Welcome to the forum.

I reviewed your exchange on the HIV international and community forums and I agree with Teak and Dr. Gonzalez-Garcia.  Your anxieties are misplaced; you had no realistic risk of catching HIV.  Your 6 week test probably was a duo test for both HIV p24 antigen (not a PCR test) plus HIV antibody.  That test is 100% reliable after 4 weeks; combining it with your other test results, it is not possible you caubght HIV.  (And if you indeed had a PCR/DNA test, that also is 100% proof against having HIV.)  You should not continue testing.  All is well; you weren't infected.

Correct.  As I said, "...if you indeed had a PCR/DNA test, that also is 100% proof against having HIV".
