Does anybody know if the us government is becoming succesful in a cure for hiv and if it will be available in the next 5-10 yrs?

My surfing of web to find the answer to the same question reveals that current and anticipated treatment is far from perfection and scientists are not hopeful to discover a perfect cure and launch it commercially, within a decade... not possible from the results of the research, where we are today.

You may refer to a recent issue of Newsweek,, ( I read that in Hong Kong, early this month). And until then, prevention is the only cure.

helpmymind, I have to concur with meworried. A vaccine will likely be developed before any cure is ever, if ever found. All the major research companies are working to try to find a cure. The benefits to a company that finds the cure will be more beneficial to that company than all the money they could ever make off the development of medications.
